Composite Systems, Inc. manufactures both gantry and track systems for the metal fabrication industry. These systems employ 'quick change' hardware, providing the cell with both welding and cutting capabilities. Furthermore, depending upon the robot selected and the size of the parts to be manipulated for assembly, the robot may be outfitted with grippers to perform the assembly of the part(s) with in the weld or cutting fixture(s). In addition, with use of the larger robots in the gantry or track configuration, drilling, tapping, grinding and sanding may also be performed within the cell, thus eliminating the need to move the weldment to a new location for finish. This proves beneficial when weldments are large and the facility is limited in space. These systems may be configured to the following platforms:
This Fanuc 8 axis gantry robot was designed to fit in a metal fabrication shop on the 4th floor of a high rise building in New York City. It was equipped with tip and torch cleaning and wire cut station. It was designed to be portable and expandable. It performed the welding of stairway and hand railing components, among other things, for buildings. Gantry Systems
