Composite Systems, Inc. manufactures a proprietary device for handling custom test heads used in connection with TSK, EG and other probers used in the semiconductor wafer/chip industry. These manipulators are designed to mount directly to the prober frame. They have been constructed from aluminum and their size lends nicely to accommodating more probers per square foot of clean room than other solutions available. They are operated via the air within the clean room itself and require no electrical hook ups. A universal mount allows for mounting to most model probers. The powder coat finish and system components meet Class 1 clean room requirements.
The manipulator can extend 24.00" (610 mm) vertically and has a 360 degree swinging, double jointed radius of 35.00" (889 mm). Pitch of the 'wrist' may be adjusted and set once the 'test head' has been mounted. The system can support up to 200 lbs (75 kg). Manipulators with larger reach radius, height and loads in excess of 1800 lbs (672 kg) are available upon request. Over 400 units have been installed worldwide. |
