Quicksilver Industries provides design, engineering and manufacturing for
the 'Carmel Steel Products' line of
architectural curtain-wall, window-wall, specialty skylights and entrance
systems. The product line is based upon three (3) primary design platforms.
namely 278 system, 373 system and 673 system, capable of being integrated
with each other. This offers architects creative design flexibility, span,
performance, superior fire ratings and building interfaces not available
with conventional 'aluminum extrusion' systems.
Being a 'steel' product, the Carmel line offers superior performance to span ratios, allowing architects to create designs offering greater clarity and open space. This makes the product ideal for applications where extreme weather conditions exist and where limited obstructive views are desired. Additionally, the Carmel line includes high performance and 'fire rated' entrance and ventilator systems that can be fully integrated with the primary systems without adding additional 'lines' to the architectural look.
